Had Transmission rebuilt for $3000, but still have the problem. After initial build, still had same issue and took it back 2 times to transmission shop, can't figure out what is causing it.

Windstar Sport 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

After having the tranny rebuilt it shifted pretty smooth, but occasionally it would shift roughly. It is starting to shift a bit hard into OD again but ONLY on rare occasions! Don't have a clue. The hard shift and the stalling seem to have some correlation but cannot put my finger on the problem. I am taking it back in to the tranny shop and see what they say.
