While driving 50mph on a busy NYC highway, I started losing acceleration while approaching a hill with no shoulder, and a quick flash of service charging system on the dash. I was in the center lane. Brakes felt hard, power steering was gone. Safely got into the right lane. Acadia showed 13v. I tried starting, it wouldn't move and was loud with cars flying by so I couldn't tell if it started. Called tow truck and was safely towed to GMC repair. It started in the lot but wouldn't move. Received a call today 4/4/16 that all timing chains need replacement and I will be without a vehicle for a week because they have no loaners. Quick search online shows this is a common problem for '08-'11 but not too many issues with '13. GMC replacing under powertrain warranty.
