This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
This has been a safety recall since May 2023, I have returned to the dealer each month since then and have been given the same answer that there is no remedy at the moment. So I asked to get a loaner vehicle until they can fix this and they said they cannot. So I asked them, "to be clear, there is nothing you can do with a known safety recall and if i or my wife get injured its on us?" They continued that there is nothing that can be done. This is not satisfactory to knowingly allow their vehicles to be driven unsafely for this length of time. I will definitely be suing if anything happens to me or my family.
This recall has been out for months with no remedy. The website says, " An in??'ator rupture may cause sharp metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior at high speed, striking you or your loved ones, which may result in injury or death to passengers." This is unacceptable. It is dangerous to drive my car right now. I need someone (GM or Takata) to provide a loaner car until they can provide the fix to make my car safe once again.
