The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the vehicle was at stand still at a traffic light, the horn pad was depressed however, the horn failed to sound. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

The vehicle was taken to the collision center where it was repaired. The contact was also informed by the dealer that this failure was common among this particular model vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was designed with that particular failure. There were no injuries. The failure mileage was approximately 600.
