This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician to check the oil pan if there is a Service Engine Soon light on with a diagnostic trouble code of P0521 or P06DD. Technician is to remove the oil filter and look for a cast over passage on the inner ring of the oil filter housing. If cast over is found on the oil passage replace the oil pan.
