The contact owns a 2014 GMC Sierra 3500. The contact stated while driving at 35 mph, the brakes failed causing the front driver side of the vehicle to crash into a sign. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back home. The contact suffered some leg soreness. A police report was filed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ryan automotive group (1101 oliver rd, monroe, la 71201) where the body damage was repaired however, the failure cause was not diagnosed. The contact then received recall notification a few months later for NHTSA campaign number: 19V645000 (service brakes, hydraulic) and which the contact believed was related to his failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that they could not reimburse the vehicle damage to the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.
