A couple months ago the door lock on the driver side stopped working. Now the only way to unlock my car is to use the key on the passenger side and reach over to unlock the driver door. In practice I no longer lock my car because its so unreasonably complicated to get back in. I've used car locks MUCH older that work just fine.

door lock does not work door lock does not work

2010 Honda Fit Door Lock Will Not Turn. Many Hondas including Civics and Fits have door locks that wear out very quickly. Door locks should not wear out - ever. A DIY replacement is nearly impossible and requires taking apart the entire door. Locksmiths do not even like doing these replacements. Honda dealerships will rip you off and charge you several hours of labor plus the cost of the part. This will be several hundred dollars to replace a part that should never go bad in the first place and is likely to go bad again. This is something Honda should replace for free as this does not constitute "normal" wear and tear. You would think humankind would have door locks figured out by 2015.
