Trunk lid jammed. Spare is located in trunk. No access to spare and Christmas presents placed in trunk on Dec. 23rd. Local Honda dealer no help. Said they had never heard of the problem. They attempted to pry open and cracked lid but still could not get in. There solution was to cut hole in lid, correct the problem and replace with a new lid. Cost estimated to be twelve to thirteen hundred dollars. I've attempted every thing suggested (Web Sites) to dislodge any thing that might be pressing against emergency switch on underneath side of lid. This appears to be a significant problem and I'm unsure why Honda has not had a recall on something this serious. I need a solution fast. I'm on borrowed time with no access to my spare.
