The rear brakes on my 2006 Ridgeline started to squeak around 30,000 miles. I purchased new pads from my local Honda dealership. When I installed the new pads I found that only 1 of the old pads was worn out while the other 3 had lots of pad material left on them. The caliper with the worn out pad did not appear to have anything wrong with it, the slides moved freely. I searched the internet and found several other people with the same issue. I took the old pads back to the Honda dealership and asked them to cover the new pads under warranty, they refused and stated that I must have had dirt or something stuck in the caliper slides.
