OK this site requested a date, which is really unknown except started in 2014 and is becoming progressively worse. The symptoms are, I will be driving and go to stop, press on brake and continue to slide after I should be stopped, which is dangerous. It can happen whether going downhill or on a straight stretch and I never know when it is going to happen.

About a month ago I was going down a steep hill, which I needed to stop for the main road and actually slid into the main road, luckily there was no traffic. I need tires and called to have new tires and check my brakes for the winter plus look at this issue. They refused to work on my car because they told me it is a ABS issue and the dealership needs to handle it. I made a appointment at dealership and their recommendations was complete front and back brakes with rotors, pads, calipers, and brake fluid flush plus new tires. Questioned about ABS and was told it is not that since my light does not come on. Went back to garage and told them, still refuse because they believe it is ABS and not touching it. They stated a new brake job would not fix the problem.

I really am stuck because I drive my car for work, live in MA where winters are bad and a lot of back narrow dirt roads. Please I am looking for advice. This car has been ongoing with problems since the day I purchased it.
