The contact owns a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the driver side closing/locking latch is fractured. The door will no longer close and lock. He has used a rope around the door post and pillar. Chrysler stated that they will address the situation. The purchase date and failure mileage were unknown. The current mileage is 140,000.
On the driver's side the door latch there are 3 bolts have pulled through, exposing the sheet metal. The sheet metal is ripped. It is not allowing the door to properly lock. Contacted dealer is not covered under warranty.
