When manually closed, the lock would not engage. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be inspected. The contact was informed that the power liftgate control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign: 15V393000 (structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,500. Parts distribution disconnect.
