No rant The car is great w 190k miles but the constant clunk is bad,,replaced, shocks, checked shocks mounts. check all sway bar bushing and muffler and mounts..Sounds like a loose trailer hitch in the receiver...But no hitch is fitted

Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

The rear suspension clunks when going over bumps (even small ones) I have replaced shocks and sway bar links but still does it. I can't tell now if the problem really is the suspension or if a body harmonic now. I hear it in other Cherokees and Grand Cherokees too but no one seems to know the fix.
