I am having issues with the recalled ignition switch in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The recall number is P41. While I am driving the entire dash lights up with every possible warning light possible. My gauges stop working and the lights flash on and off. Sometimes my check engine light will stay on for a day after this happens. It is really scary. The first time it happened was in may and it only did it maybe 5 times from may through July. At the end of July it started happening a few times a week. In September we received the recall notice. I took the car into Jeep to verify that the problem is the ignition switch...and it is. I don't have the money to temporarily fix it until the part comes in. Meanwhile I feel unsafe driving my car. I've called the corporate office and they treat me horrible and don't care. The customer service reps have no information and tell me to wait for the next postcard. I'm really frustrated and don't feel like this company cares at all. The recall notice "says" they care about my safety but they sure don't show it. Meanwhile I have to drive a car with my child in it that feels unsafe. It has now been 6 months since the recall notice was sent to me and they still haven't fixed the issue. How is Jeep not held accountable? I feel like I have no options and nobody cares.

I am still waiting the recall notice from Chrysler for the ignition switch for our grand Jeep Cherokee 2007 since middle of next year. Their customer service still repeat that we will receive the recall as soon parts will be available. Considering that this company still produce new car they should give priority to fix the older ones before somebody get hurt or die. How long by law we have to wait for "??" if somebody replay will be greatly appreciate. Thanks [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

There was no accident - I received a recall on my ignition switch several months ago - I keep checking and Chrysler doesn't have the part yet! I am not comfortable driving my 7 month old around in the vehicle but I have no other choice. Can anyone tell me when they will have the part in - I really want to get this fixed before something bad happens. I am very upset about how long this is taking. Called Chrysler today - they do not know when the part will be in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! still!
