We shopped for a few months to purchase a Grand Cherokee and EVERY one we looked at had the same issue.
Along the hood there are several portions that have bubbling rust under the paint and looks like it is going to come through at any moment.
No one wants to drive a new $18K car around with a hood that looks like this.
When you lift the hood there are 2 large holes that have no capping or plugs on them, I would assume rain water may be coming up in there and sitting causing the rain but again all of the ones we looked at were identical which is why I believe it is a Jeep issue.
