The dealer stated that they could replace the alternator with another alternator for a fee. Once the recall alternator was available, the dealer could replace it with the correct alternator from the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 32614886. The manufacturer confirmed that the parts were unavailable and there would be a fee for the non-recalled part. No additional assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 150,000.
