Please reference my previous complaint 11114071 and 11114079 for exact dates of failure for July 2018. The primary and secondary fuel pumps were both replaced and the Jeep was returned to me on 8/4/18. I drove it on 8/5/18 once and then twice in the morning on 8/6/18. It sat in the parking lot at my work from 8:30 to 12:30 pm on 08/6/18. At 12:30 pm, the exact same symptoms of starting failure were happening. It started with turnover then immediately died. Then turned on after a 2nd attempt. Then at the restaurant I went to at approximately 12: 55 pm, the Jeep completely failed to start. I have video recording of the failure and can produce that for reference. The vehicle is not starting and staying on consistently. The start results in immediately dying and then after a couple attempts like that, it eventually it just cranks and cranks until you shut off the vehicle. It's being towed a second time to the dealer service department. Additionally, a dome light in the front of the vehicle wouldn't shut off since it was returned to me on 8/4/18. It was never a problem before 8/4/18. This is a tipm problem and it needs to be recalled. The 3rd picture I've uploaded is a screen shot from the video I have of the vehicle not starting but cranking and cranking. The other two are captioned. I have this video and can send it.

Per my previous complaint (number 11114071) I stated my VIN was not included in Chrysler recall 15V-115. That was incorrect. My VIN was included in Chrysler recall 15V-115. And the recall was completed. Meaning: The fuel pump was already replaced. So my previous complaint with fuel pump failure and cranking is a persistent and unacceptable issue that is deductively reasoned to be due to tipm failure. This failure needs to be addressed by the NHTSA.

During the week of July 1st, 2018 the vehicle died while driving at 30 mph. During the week of July 8th it cranked without turnover multiple times in the am, eventually starting and also during that week of July 8th, 2018, once while driving it died while traveling at 30 mph. On July 16th, 2018 vehicle cranked without turnover multiple times in the am, eventually starting. On July 17th, 2018 it started in the am but in the evening, cranked multiple times with no turnover and would not start again. On July 18th, I went back to where the car was left the evening before to attempt starting again. It was cranking without starting multiple times that day and never started. Had to be towed to dealership for service on July 19th. Service department replaced the primary fuel pump on July 23rd, 2018 after parts came in. I picked up the vehicle on the evening of July 23rd, 2018. Approximately 6 hours after getting the vehicle, it cranked for at least 10 seconds, twice, then started. And the following evening approximately 5 pm, July 24th, 2018, it started and ran for about 5-10 seconds and died. Vehicle started on the next attempt and I took it back to the dealership service department at 5:30 pm on July 24, 2018. The dealer claims it cranked on July 25, 2018 in the morning and then continued to start throughout the day. I am going to go back to the dealership to request the other fuel pump get tested. I am very aware that there have been multiple recalls on this model's fuel pump system. Recalls 14V-530 and 15V-115 do not include my VIN number and should because it was manufactured during the dates of. And further, the center for auto safety's petition against the NHTSA dated on July 15, 2015 (80 fr 45578) (document number 2015-18672) against Chrysler for the tipm failure should be reconsidered!!

The vehicle continues to die within seconds when the start engine button is initially pushed. Frequently have to to push engine start button again w/O pressing brake to turn power completely off, then push engine start button again w/brake to obtain full power of vehicle. This problem has been reported to Jeep on several occasions and has occurred for a couple of years. I have completed all recalls on file hoping this problem would be addressed. However, it appears to be worsening this summer, where almost daily I have to attempt to restart my car to gain full power.

Multiple episodes of extended crank without start. Also several episodes of stalling without warning while driving - 1X in drive but another time on highway at night in traffic. All episodes have happened in 2017 staring August through 'now'. car has been to dealer service 4 X without resolution. Currently with dealer being operated with a "flight recorder" as they did experience problem but couldn't identify the mechanical source - they contacted "Chrysler" for advice. I'm lucky, I'm driving a loaner for 3 weeks now from my dealership.

Fuel pump relay recall. The fuel pump relay recall was performed on this vehicle by dealership. Recently, the vehicle begin having the same symptoms as in the recall. Vehicle would stop running after being cranked, would fail to crank, and would have extended cranking time. I observed no fuel pump sounds during no run/ no crank conditions. Ase certified shop diagnosed fault; repair was replacement of fuel pump relay installed during recall. Vehicle has had zero failure since this repair. This failure is as dangerous as original recall failure, and occurred within approximately 60,000 miles of recall. Shop manager stated this was second such failure his shop has fixed on already "fixed by recall" vehicles.

When you push the ignition button, the engine cranks but it won't start. It takes a few attempts before the vehicle actually starts. After it starts you start to drive it and the it stalls as you are driving it. This happens mostly when the engine is cold (mornings or after it hasn't been used for several hours). After researching it there is a fuel pump relay recall on same model and year as mine. The recall is for the fuel pump relay.. this is very dangerous when driving the hehe vehicle as it stalls at any given moment.

Bought my car from parks Ford of wesley chapel on 7/16/17. 2 days later, the car had trouble starting.my mechanic looked it over. It had a power steering rack leak and embedded dirt underneath its carrier. Brought car back to Ford. They found nothing. Called again because of same problem. Was told by manager duber to try locking and unlocking car to engage starter. Did not work. Brought to Jeep. They found that a recall on the relay to the fuel pump was never fixed. They also said the front shocks were blown and leaking and not covered under warranty. Warranty company said that car had preexisting conditions and should have never left the dealership. They refused to fix it. This great price was false representation and misleading. I never would have bought the car knowing it needed all of this work.

My car is currently at 76K miles. Since around 20K miles, my car has had issues with starting that happens intermittently, slow/no response from push button start, slow/no response with smart entry system when locking/unlocking doors. All of these issues are very intermittent. To go into more detail about the starting issue, the car would start completely, but then shortly after the RPM would drop to 0 and the electrical components would stay on. When trying to push the start button again, it would try to crank for 15 seconds. It's necessary to completely power off the car to properly start the car. Sometimes the issue presents itself immediately after. These issues happen with both key fobs even after switching to fresh batteries. I've taken it to Jeep dealership 4-5 times with no resolution. They have replaced the fuel pump relay twice for attempt to resolve starting issue. They were never able to duplicate or no codes would present themselves. I have strong suspicion of the tipm (totally integrated power module) failing, which is approximately $1200 to replace. Even though I have the extended warranty, Jeep will not replace until duplicated. I even left the car at Jeep for a week one of those visits. The issues happen almost every other day or on a very bad week, every day the car is used. Jeep customer service is very poor and I've been stuck with this issue for way too long. The starting issue even happened today, twice.

Dealer requires that I leave the vehicle at the dealer's repair shop for an entire day and that I pay them a rental fee for a loaner car during that period. I will not pay to have these manufacturer defects corrected. There are currently four (4) outstanding recall notices on this vehicle and they will not fix any of them without compensation.

I am afraid to drive my vehicle. The first issue happened a few months ago, the car refused to start and had to be towed to the dealership to get fixed. There was an electrical fault, and could have happened at any point. Currently the vehicle has been at the dealership since November 10th. The vehicle hesitates before moving forward when I step on the gas, then something engages and it jumps forward. Sometimes it comes to a stop before it rapidly accelerates. The Jeep has been at atlantic Jeep for almost four weeks and the dealer has not been forthcoming in explaining what is going on. They can't seem to figure it out themselves and I am in fear of driving this car in the future if the same problems occur. There seems to be a big risk of having a crash with the issues described above. This happened on highways, streets, slow or fast didn't seem to have an affect. This has been a major issue, and is very scary for me as a driver.

After six months of no notice of the availability of the part to repair the recall on the fuel pump relay, I scheduled service appointment for 8/15. The dealer still did not have the part. I received a phone call from heather, business development manager. She claimed I never received notification for any of the 3 recalls because the parts are not available, even though they were. She said someone in the service center is supposed to screen the appointments and contact owner if part is not available and acknowledged that the dealership had failed to do this. I scheduled another appointment to repair recall and get brakes evaluated. I dropped my car off 10 am on 9/4. at 1:45, I had not heard from the dealership and called and left voicemail asking about my car. At 4 pm, still no word from the dealership, I called again and left another message. At 5 pm, still no word, I tried web chat on dealer site and rep didnt have any information. The dealer service dept closed at 6, so I went to get my car. The service rep didnt know where my car was. On his desk was a post-it with my name and phone number on it. He returned after 10-15 minutes and told me the mechanics found something wrong with my brakes (started after 8/15 service) and wanted more time with it. I asked if my car was in a state I could take it home, I had been to the dealer enough times already to get repair. When he returned, he handed me the key and made no additional comments. I asked if the recall had been repaired and he said, "no." Second trip to dealer for the fuel pump relay recall, they had my car for over eight hours and didn't repair the recall or anything else. I emailed heather to share my experience at the dealership. To date I have received no response from dealer and the email site for Jeep doesnt work. I will have to find another dealer to fix the fuel relay recall and brake issue.
