We own a 2005 and 2006 Jeep Liberty and they both have the same problem. I have to shut off the gas before it fills the tank otherwise GAS WILL SPILL ALL OVER THE CAR. It is very annoying and dangerous and it stinks. Makes me want to vomit.

After MUCH trial and error, my awsome mechanic fixed the problem. However, the engine light is still on!!

The engine light has been on for most of the time I've owned the car (8 years) and I've always been told it's the gas cap that's loose. I've spent more money than I had and still no solution!!! All that's left to replace is the @# tank! I like my Jeep but this is driving me nuts!!!
