This is the 4th time we have had to fix this problem, 2nd time since the superfluous extended warranty ran out. What a joke...these guys know it's going to break and they just rake you over the coals for the repair. Chrysler needs to be held accountable for this but their attitude it pretty much "too bad for you". It disgusts me.

If anyone knows that there is in fact an accepted class action suit, I would sure like to get in on it. Every time one of these goes, regulator AND lift plate, the car is useless until it can be fixed. What a pain.

This is the third window regulator I've had to pay for since I have owned the vehicle. The first two were for the rear windows. Now the passenger side has gone out. So far I've paid for about $1,800 in window regulators. I think there's a huge problem here that should be fixed Jeep. This is my second Jeep, I'd like to buy a third someday but this common problem is limiting my faith in Jeep.

I bought a certified used Jeep from a dealer in 2009 with about 11,000 miles on it. In less than a year one window fell into the door and the regulator had to be replaced. The dealer did this for only the price of the labor, about $125. In 2014 another window fell into the door and the dealer charged me parts and labor, $345. The dealer needed me to wait for parts about three days.

In 2016 a third window fell into the door. This happened while driving and was a startling event while driving

on a curve. It could have caused an accident. This time the dealer charged $424, but could not get to the job

for nearly a week. The car only has 57,000 miles on it at this point.

This seems like a bad design, plastic part, perhaps a poly hybrid would be better.

This is the third of three regulators I've had to replace in this crap heap. This one is the driver's side rear window. This one went bad a few days ago and I still have tape on the drivers front window to keep it from falling. Jeep needs to extend the warranty for customers who didn't purchase a 2007 until after 2014. This is absolute BS!! 3 window regulators for three diff doors since December!

Today once again I have another window down. This makes three on this car that hardly is used. At 500 a pop I am fed up. I believe they need to recall their faulty parts. The dealer is not helpful at all, even though they know these problems are on going.

Window regulator on my rear drivers side window failed. Window just dropped. Have to tape it up until i can get it replaced. This is the second time for this door. All others have been replaced once. So to recap. 2007 Liberty has needed five (yes five) regulators. At $400 a piece it adds up. Known defect yet no recall. The extended warranty ran out 2 years ago,

I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport 4X4 that I purchased used on December 18, 2012 from a large reputable dealer in Central Arkansas. In March 2013 I had to replace the rear passenger door window regulator after simply closing the door in a very normal fashion, not slamming it closed but a nice normal close. I heard something snap or pop and watched the window slowly and gradually fall into the door. I knew what had happened as this was NOT my first experience with this problem in the same door. Back years prior in about mid 2007 I would guess, I had a 2006 Liberty and the same window regulator broke in it in fact the very same door. That one was covered under the warranty, however this one was not and it cost nearly $500 to replace through a dealer in Central Arkansas.

Fast forward now to September 2014 and after returning home from work I proceeded to roll up the front windows and as soon as the front passenger window made it all the way up I hear something snap and the window proceeded to fall down and I knew I had another broken window regulator. So off to the dealer I went and out another nearly $500 and this time I asked what the deal was with this problem and I was informed at the time that the Jeep Cherokee, the Jeep that the Liberty took the place of in 2002, had the same problem. I personally like the Liberty as it fits my needs quite well, however the nearly $500 per window regulator to replace is a growing concern and I am seriously thinking of selling my Liberty and going onto another vehicle brand.

Chrysler should be ashamed that they even put the 2007 Jeep Liberty out on the road. I have had window regulators repaired approximately 6-7 times since I bought my Jeep Liberty in August 2007. My last repair was not paid for by Chrysler because the problem occurred more than 9 months after I bought the Jeep. Therefore, the repair cost was 100% out-of-pocket. Between the day the window fell down into the door and the day I found someone to repair the problem at a reasonable price, I used cardboard, plastic garbage bags, and window shades to cover the window. However, the seats of the Jeep still got wet when it rained. Also, I live in a metropolitan area, and leaving windows open in a car overnight is like inviting someone to steal your car. Therefore, I spent a lot of time looking outside to make sure my care was still there during the period the window was out. The amount of time I have spent dealing with the problem is absolutely ridiculous. Not only will I never buy another Jeep, I will never buy another Chrysler vehicle of any kind.

I bought this Jeep new from the dealership in May 2007. Between then and 10/2011 I had to have 3 out of the 4 window lift plates / regulators replaced, some more than once. All of these are recorded at the dealership. Today I am sitting here once again because the last of the 4 windows has given up the good fight and broken. Of course there is no warranty for the part so I will be out of pocket for the repair.

I called Jeep to explain my concern / complaint and was told 'due to the excessive mileage on your Jeep, we will not be doing anything for you today for this problem'. REALLY?! 128,000 miles in 8 years is excessive? The body on this vehicle is nearly spotless except for an extremely small dent that the dealership put in the door during one of the repairs of said windows! This is a well maintained vehicle. The miles on my car should have absolutely nothing to do with the window lift plate.

This is clearly a manufacturing defect. All 4 windows would not malfunction otherwise.

This was the 12th window motor to be replaced in this Jeep Liberty. Jeep told dealer service dept. they would not pay for repair. I called and threw a fit, got a case number and was told a "board" would review and I would have an answer in 48 hours. After 48 hours, called and left message for case manager, sent an e-mail, called two more times and finally reached her. She said to hold on and she would talk to dealer. She told them she would pay for repair part but not for labor. Luckily, my dealer told her they thought Jeep should pay for labor so they did.

The following week, I called Jeep to complain about the case manager's rudeness and not getting back with me in 48 hours as Jeep promised (which kept me from getting the motor replaced before the weekend when we had a big rainstorm). Asked for case manager's supervisor. Mentioned a class action suit or calling my local news station. Supervisor acted like she was doing me a big favor and gave me an extended Maximum Care warranty but failed to mention she gave me a MUCH, MUCH HIGHER DEDUCTIBLE of $200 per instance. Just found that out when took car in on 5/29/15 for the wet carpet problem. I have called Jeep Customer Service again. Got another extremely rude person. Requested to speak to her supervisor and was told it will be up to 48 hours before I get a call back.

I will keep you posted. If I treated my customers like Jeep treats their customer, I wouldn't have any business at all. I am requesting they drop the deductible to -0-. We shall see.
