Renegade Latitude 2.4L 4 cyl

the cruise control will not hold the vehicle speed when set. it will drop by 4 miles per hour, and on flat surfaces it wants to run 1 mile an hour under what you set it to. the dealer says this is normal. I call BS on that, every other vehicle i have owned did not drop under the set speed of the cruse control. The way the dealer figured it, he drove a new renegade and it did same thing. well may be the new one is wrong as well. To run 73 mph i have to set the cruse to 74 on flat land, going up hills, cruise will drop off. why can't the transmission shift or the engine rev a little bit to compensate for this speed drop off?

Renegade 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,000 miles

Speed control off up to 5 miles per hour, won't keep up with flow of traffic, it worked perfect till they put first update in for the jerky transmission, I had it back for still jerky low gear shifting they updated the shifting program again, it did help low speed shifting but not at the top end, sill lowsy speed control, you never know for sure where speed control will be on, it is not shifting or giving gas to keep up in higher gears, set at 65, you will be going 60 to 65, dealer said this is normal, this is not my first rodeo and know different, also my Sirius Travel Link Weather map does not work, dealer put in new radio to shut me up and it still don't work, dealer told me Update from Aug 3, 2016: Dealer put in Sirius Weather Map Travel Link update it works perfect, still lousy speed control on large hills , maybe future update will fix, I thinking of trading
