The contact owns a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 02V041000 (Parking Brake) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that he had parked the vehicle in a parking lot with the parking brake set and the vehicle transmission was in neutral (N). The contact stated that when returned to the vehicle it had rolled down a slight incline and crashed into the back of another parked vehicle. The contact stated that the rear quarter panel on the passenger side of the other vehicle had been dented. The contact stated that there was only a small smear of paint from the other vehicle on his bumper. There were no injuries and no police were on the scene. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had experienced a failure. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to grindstaff Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (2226 w elk ave, elizabethton, tn 37643) to be repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 02V041000 (parking brake). The contact stated that after the recall repair was completed, the parking brake failed on multiple occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle rolled forward after engaging the parking brake. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure however, the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 280,000. Consumer stated parts were replaced but recurred again less than 4,000 miles.
The parking brake was defective on three occasions while parked in the driveway, vehicle rolled back. Each time the vehicle struck something, and the last time the vehicle was totaled.
Consumer received recall 02V041000) concerning parking brake failure. Consumer was concerned that the recall was not fixed properly. The problem recurred, and had not been resolved. Service manager keith.

The truck was parked and running inside of driveway and without warning, the park brake jumped out of gear, rolled out of the driveway and hit another vehicle. There were no injuries or fatalities.
While parked the vehicle emergency brake failed which caused the vehicle to roll backwards and hit a van. The vehicles fuel sensor, oxygen sensor, tp sensor and exhaust manifold studs failed. The catalytic converter also rattled.

Consumer states vehicle was parked on an incline with the emergency brake on, and the emergency brake had released and the vehicle had rolled into a concrete wall, consumer states this is not the first time this has happened, there was damage to vehicle.
The parking brake does not work properly, the emergency brake foot engagement pedal disengages on its own at any random point in time, the pedal must be engaged all the way to function and even at that point the vehicle sometimes is not completely stable. Nlm
