Transmission was very hard to shift, problem was sporadic. Hard to get out of gear and then suddenly would release unexpectedly. Would happen while driving for a period of time & not right away. Took to dealer, and transmission was replaced at least 3 times. Been back off/on at dealer 10 times. Now on 4th transmission & dealer will not repair problem again.
Transmission makes a noise, sounds like the clutch-release bearing (throw-out bearing) as the sound goes away when the clutch pedal is pressed. In addition there is a vibration noise when shifting through the gears. Dealer states this is normal for the Jeep manual transmission??
Grinding noise when clutch disengared and while driving. Hard to shift. Gringing noise when vehicle is turned off. Contacted and brought to dealer 4X on 4th X dealer said transmission need to replaced as well as the bearing spring and fork.
Transmission is very noisey while in neutral and while shifting. Gets stuck in gear sometimes, and jumps out of first gear at times. "clunky" going from first to second gear and will roll in forward or reverse if you simulate putting vehicle in gear without touching any pedals, and it lurches forward when placing in gear from a stand still.
Engine check light came on/vehicle started smoking. Consumer could smell gas.turned vehicle off and had it towed. Dealer said said it was the PCM. Also, manual transmission makes noise and it is difficult to change gears.

When shifting vehicle from any of the gears, they get stuck in between. Dealership mechanic replaced transmission twice. But, problem is still there. The transmission must be defective because it continuous to malfunction, and it is safety hazard.
At initial delivery of vehicle and driving home heard a low grinding sound. It was very difficult to shift. Contacted dealer, and dealer replaced transmission. New transmission noisy, manufacturer said noise was acceptable.
Transmission (5speed) jumps out of first gear all the time when starting from a standing start. Has done this since the night I picked up the vehicle. Dealership ask me to drive it for a few miles to see if it would clear up, it didn't. has gotten me into trouble several times while trying to merge with traffic. You never know when it's going to happen.
