- Steering Stabilizer - I had the same issue. on multiple occasions, driving on highway, when after hitting small hole or crack, the front wheels would shake uncontrollably, forcing me to slow down from 70-80 MPH to roughly 30-40 MPH. I replaced the steering stabilizer and have not had an issue since.

Bought this 2001 Wrangler new. Several years ago it started the shake when you drove it at highway speed. Since it started I have had the tires balanced, then new tires, balance checked, new shocks, brake rotors, torsion bar clips, and who knows what else that I have forgotten about. I have taken it to 2 dealers, a mechanic and a tire store.
The last dealer took it for a test drive and said he could feel it but did not know what it was or how to fix it. He suggested I take it to a frame shop. I really like the car but this is really getting to upset me. At about 50 mph the front end starts to shake uncontrollably and then stops when speed is reduced to about 40 mph.
