The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 13V234000 (power train, steering) and contacted the dealer to have the vehicle serviced under the recall. The dealer stated that the parts needed to complete the recall repair were unavailable. The vehicle was not serviced. The manufacturer was notified and they stated that they were in the process of manufacturing the parts. The contact had not experienced a failure.
I was informed of safety recall N28 / NHTSA 13V-234 back in July of 2013. I called Jeep directly in order to resolve this recall only to be told there are no parts available at that time.. I called Jeep & my local dealer in August 2013 & still no parts nor a response time... it is now Sept 30, 2013 & I am still being told no updates on when parts will become available... this is extremely concerning & at the same time disturbing..

Traveling straight when hit bump in road, loss of steering occurred which propelled vehicle into parked car and then small brick wall in front lawn/driveway. Car was a total loss.
