I have been experiencing the "death wobble" the first time when it was only a year old with 10,000 miles. It was brief and I attributed the issue to road conditions. It happened again around 20,00 miles. It was brief and again on the same freeway attributed to road conditions. I recently experienced it again at 39,000 miles - it was so severe, and violent, shaking the entire vehicle- it was extremely difficult to control the vehicle. I made an appointment at the dealership. The diagnosis was a cracked drag link assembly, need front stabilizer shocks, and rear shocks. On top of that they said there is a crack in the radiator, believed to be from the violent shaking. It's no longer under warranty, with only 39,000 miles - 3,000 miles over and they won't do anything. I have been a long time customer at planet Jeep in flagstaff, AZ. This has been a horrible experience. I will never go back there and won't recommend.

Navigation system stopped working due to a faulty head unit, 430N. The unit says 'can't unlock maps' when going to the navigation screen and then proceeds to say 'detailed maps are unavailable'. navigation function will not work. This is a common and known issue at the dealership and on the forums, however Jeep will only replace the unit while under warranty, regardless of how new the vehicle is. I have contacted Jeep and Chrysler directly and they said because of the miles they will not honor any requests, regardless if it by manufacturer fault or not.

Jeep Wrangler jk unlimited sport S 35K miles. Vehicle wipers will not turn off. Issues where the wipers can be activated with the fog light control and vice versa. The fog lights can come on at random and begin to flash on and off. It is truly frustrating to not be able to turn my wipers off. I went to the dealer and they diagnosed it as both the wiper switch and headlight/fog light switch were shorting and both needed to be replaced. The estimate was $700 for repair. This is rediculous for a 3 year old vehicle and just months out of the 3 year warranty. My guess is that if replace both the switches, the issue will return and then the true cause, which I suspect to be the tipm, will need to be replaced for another $1200.

While driving down our Jeep Wrangler down the highway my husband stopped at a red light and said he heard something hissing then he saw flames coming from under the hood. At that point the Jeep would not steer or anything so he shut it off and my husband and son got out of the Jeep. Moments later the entire front end of the keep was engulfed in flames.

Was driving one night with 8 year old daughter sleeping in the back seat. The headlights suddenly started going off and on then off completely, then wipers started going off, then interior light and dashboard lights & locks like it was possessed then Jeep suddenly died. Thank goodness we were almost home so my husband coasted it into our driveway then we noticed what smelled of electrical fire, I looked at the hood and could see a glow. My husband put it in park as I yelled for my daughter to wake up & get out. Mine & my husbands door were unlocked but the back two doors wouldn't unlock. I jumped back in the car (the fire was on my side ) to get my panicking daughter out right as the back doors unlocked again while still going off and on, and my husband got the fire put out and battery unplugged which was by this time on fire along with the fuse box.

The navigation system that is part of the 430N radio has crashed. This started over a 3 month period where the screen would blank when you tried the navigation display. It has now crashed and only displays "cannot unlock maps". the dealership says that the head unit has crashed and needs to be replaced. Because I have over 43,000 miles on the Jeep they say it will be at my expense. This is a known issue through Jeep customer care. It has been discussed on Jeep owner forums for the past two years. I purchased the Jeep with the navigation system so that my wife could find her way when she traveled. The Jeep is on 27 months old and this is not a "moving" part that develops wear from use. Again Jeep is well aware of this issue and has not taken any steps to correct the problem. The other features all still work, radio, bluetooth. I have contacted Jeep customer care and was assigned a customer care number. Since then I have called back for the last four days and my assigned representative has not been available. This is ridiculous that the Jeep/ Chrysler corporation does not stand behind a product that is less than 3 years old.

When the vehicle is under acceleration the brakes will lock-up causing an abrupt stop. The vehicle then has no acceleration power at the brakes are being applied with no input from the driver. Basically the ABS is engaging brakes without pressure applied to the brake pedal. It is likely and highly probably that this will cause a fatal or near fatal rear end collision. In traffic or when pulling into a lane of traffic it occurs without warning. ****** please address this problem. It is extremely dangerous***

2015 Jeep Wrangler safari right rear signal light work intermittingly. Verified that not power is being transmitted to the right rear signal light from the tipm. Jeep will not warranty because they didn't install the after market towing wiring kit. The kit was installed when the vehicle was new and the problem first started after the vehicle had over 13,000 miles. At the time the problem was very intermitting and was only noticed because the inside signal blinker would suddenly brink at a very fast rate. A few minutes late it was ok. Now if you turn the sign light on, after about 5 seconds, it start blinking very rapidly indicating the right rear signal has failed again. The vehicle now has 16,000 miles and the situation is that the vehicle behind me may or may not know that I am making a right had turn.

2015 Wrangler sahara engine fire I have just purchased 10 days ago a certified 2015 Wrangler sahara certified pre owned from avondale Dodge in phoenix AZ. It was a gorgeous hardtop grey, with 30" tires, mags and an led light bar. I had been looking for 3 months and finally found my dream Wrangler. Still with a temp plate and one tank of gas in it the engine caught fire sitting idle at my work. I had literally drove from the dealer how it happened. I had gone for lunch with co workers and parked in covered parking at my office in phoenix. There was no foul smells and the vehicles performance was normal. I was notified by the facilities managers 2 hours later while in a meeting that fellow employees saw it smoldering through the grill and phoned the fire department. When I got outside the engine compartment was completely charred.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle lost acceleration and stalled. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, depressed the clutch, and turned off the vehicle. Once restarted, the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated that the failure occurred approximately ten times. The vehicle was taken to furmann Chrysler/Jeep in new port richey, Florida, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened case number: 31754410. The VIN was invalid. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.

I own a 2015 Jeep Wrangler unlimited 4 door 4X4 automatic transmission. Intermittent loss of power and traction control light comes on... I wrote up a report a couple of weeks ago--but I understand the issue better now...so, my Jeep basically conks out--often at highway speeds...and re-starts in about 1 second...at least it feels like it conks out--all of the dash lights come on as they do when I first start the Jeep...but the traction control light stays on--does not blink and it has remained on since then...also the cruise control will not turn on...I have checked the fuses...and I have run an obdii diagnostic--the fuses are fine and the diagnostic finds nothing wrong I have read that this issue is occuring frequently on Jeep renegade and dealership says nothing is wrong. This occurs while the vehicle is in motion, on streets and on highways...while going straight and while turning...

Vehicle, in motion, on highways, and streets, shuts off. The lights go out, sometimes the radio turns off, the steering goes out, the gauges fall to zero...then, the battery light comes on, and the engine begins operating as usual. It feels as though someone has turned off the key and then turned the key back on.

I was on a road trip traveling 70 mph on I90 with cruise control set when cruise control disengaged 3 times on its own then approximately 100 miles later the power outlet in dash caught fire (behind dash) and spread to the heater/ac control panel. I ended trailering my Jeep home. It is drivable but I took it to dealer to check it out (they called Chrysler (they're sending out their own investigators)). My Jeep just turned a year old and less than 4000 miles.

Defective car door locking systems sporadically fails to properly function. Unlocking mode is inoperable at times. This defect occurs at all times whether the Jeep is stationary or in motion. I have brought the Jeep for repairs numerous times and was advised by the dealership that it could not figure out how to fix this issue. The Jeep has been brought in for service at least four times due to the locking system. On the last service date, I was advised after my Jeep had been in the repair shop for a month, that the inoperable locking door mechanism was a safety feature despite it not appearing as a safety feature in the owner's manual guide. I requested from the manufacture documentation verifying that the inoperable locking mechanism was a safety feature. At this time, manufacture has failed to provide any documentation confirming that the inoperable locking mechanism is a safety feature.
