The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the brake caliper had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the mechanic, where it was later diagnosed with a failed brake hose, but the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact ordered the parts for the repair from the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 114,000.
