- Summary
- Flash: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Updates This bulletin involves reprogramming the PCM with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following (DTC): P0441- EVAP Purge System Performance. The customer may comment on one or more of the following: Pinging/detonation sound from the engine after warm up at 1000-1500 RPM at low speed. Abnormal Engine noise heard periodically. This noise is caused by Variable Valve Timing (VVT) cleaning cycle. A misfire condition with no Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination or Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set. In addition, the following software enhancements are available: Updates to include misfire DTCs.
