We have had this issue off and on for several years. It was always related to a operating computer being placed on the passengers seat. It would reset after one or two weeks. Now the issue is always there. It has NOT cleared or reset.
Airbag light stays on and I think this should be covered by the warranty. It is a safety issue! From what I understand a lot of people have this same issue. Step up KIA and do the right thing!
bought the car new. around 30,000 miles the light came on. I took it back and they fixed a connector. Around 50,000 miles the light came on, this time it was a sensor in the seat back requiring a new seat back. Both of the previous were covered by the warranty. Now at 70,000 miles the light is on again. I have a friend with a detailed scanner and will have him scan this piece of crap SRS system. I'll drive it this way until I or the car dies. If I die in a car crash I'll advise my wife to sue kia and set her up for the rest of her life....
