My car only has 61,000 miles for 2013 car. My car is going through so much oil, I have to put at least a quart of oil about every 1000 miles. There's no oil light coming on. I get regular oil changes. I checked it last year because the engine sounded noisy, like dry sounding. The oil dipstick was dry, even though I had an oil change within the last 6 months. Took it to dealer and they said there was no recall for excessive oil consumption. They said there was nothing they could do unless something happened to the engine. So its like I'm supposed to let the engine fail because of lack of oil, or just constantly keep putting oil in it without addressing the case of the problem. They'd rather wait for the engine to fail and change the whole engine, than fix the problem at their expense before that happens. My cars mileage is really low for the year it is. I shouldn't be having this issue!

I've been having to put oil in my car constantly. I only have 60,000 miles on my 2013 Kia. I started noticing my engine being noisier than usual last year so I was surprised when the oil was very low. My oil light never went on. I get oil changes regularly but every few months I have to add at least a quart of oil. Now every time my engine starts sounding funny, I check my oil and sure enough I need to add oil. My car has very low miles so this is a major problem for me. I got an oil change a few moths ago and my oil is low again. This needs to be addressed as if I had not checked my oil, my engine could run out of oil! I am sure this is ruining engine! My valve cover gasket has been changed. My vin shows no recalls. I am not paying for an engine if my engine gets ruined because of this problem.

Started in the last few months from the first of the year a hundred thousand miles on my Kia Optima and it's burning a quart of oil I bought every thousand miles. Kia Automotive has no options whatsoever.

My 2013 Kia Optima burns almost 2 quarts of oil a month. Constant oil checks needed and about $20.00 a month wasted.

Using an excessive amount of oil. Have to have my oil checked every 1500 miles. Which is not fair on a car that is 4 years old. I think Kia should give me back $28,000.00, which is the price that I paid for it.

Also, the finish is peeling off of the rims. The interior is fading (I do keep the sun shade in the window when parked in the sun). It is just a crappy made car. I will never buy another Kia !!
