For one my car is very sluggish when taking off and shifting gears Jerks badly. MY electrical is messing up on my radio and camera. Sometimes I smell rubber burning. When I have my cruise on it will speed up on its on and jerk when it does and when i press my brakesbto slow down it doesn'twant to slow down unless iash really hard. When taking off from a hill or a dead stop it doesn't want to shift and slags and rattles when it shifts. Bluetooth works sometimes and sometimes it doest it depends on when my backup camera works or not. I bought this car used in June of 2021 with a little over 92000 miles. I know when something doesn't sound right and when something is messed up, there is something wrong with my car. So far I haven't been in an accident but I don't want to be either.
Recently has a new engine installed at pitre Kia, due to a recall malfunction, they installed a new engine but didn-??t fix the recall problem, now that I have my car back. My engine moves when I hit the brakes, my brakes go all the way down sometimes, doesn-??t stop the car at all, I am in danger everyday I drive my car, I never know if my brakes will fail on me. Or my car will burst out into flames, and I can smell fuel in the cabin of the car really strong, I have really bad gas mileage and my steering wheel is a lot stiffer than normal
I was in a accident in December where I went to brake at a light and hydra planed forward. Into the car I front of me. Which my driving record I can-??t understand how the is happened is this a reflection of the recall and Kia-??s parts took since just a few weeks ago to come in to the collision center from being back ordered since mid December I have been in a out of pocket rental practically begging to get my 4000$ I paid to enterprise since So because of this lengthy time my inspection was up in march but I can-??t get it inspected because the check engine light came in the very first day I brought it home. Went to turn on my ac being a warm day and no cool air I called the collision center they then decide to tell me they are waiting on three parts still the ac compressor a part for the bumper and the turbo sensor. Meanwhile since it is a insurance claim I cannot have them check the recall part. So I made a appointment with Fred beans Kia in langhorne pa for the recall and a oil change they had the car all day to tell me that I need the part and it will be ordered that was April 23. Meanwhile Iam still driving with expired inspection. I then noticed my car started to shake and make loud sound when started and is feeling like Iam going to stall out and it does. It feel safe me being a single woman I don-??t want to get stuck I called bot the the collision center and the dealership inquiring about the parts ordered and now my car is running horribly one pointed the finger at the other leaving me worried scared frustrated and upset. Please help me.
Dean mckrary Kia had my car from November to December 12, 2021 with the agreement to repair all existing service recalls. There yet remain service recall 21V331. The agreement with the service manager that all recalls issued would be repaired. They did not keep their word.
I have my driver side tail light out, when I bought the car in 2019, they said I have 30 days to bring in my car so they can replace what needs fixing, well I hit day 32 and I-??ve had to replace my tires, brakes, headlights and tail lights because they all went out on my own dime, now my brakes are making me nervous because sometimes it feels like my car isn-??t slowing down to a stop and I have to slam them to stop sometimes.

Vehicle lots brakes while driving, smell of gas and caught fire under hood. Engine had been completely replaced due to recall in January 2022 Vehicle was a complete loss, luckily son was able to get out.
The contact owns a 2015 Kia Optima. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle's speed decreased as the RPM's increased with the engine and battery warning lights illuminated. The vehicle lost all power and was pushed to the side of the road as it failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as a starter which was replaced. The vehicle failed to start, and the failure was then diagnosed as a seized engine. The engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who confirmed the engine failure. The contact stated that the dealer informed him that the manufacturer did not approve the repairs for NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V331000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) as the previous recalls were not completed. The contact stated that he found out about the recall from an Auto Zone employee. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.
Engine seized while driving and wouldnt start.I bought a new battery and tried to start it and it almost caught on fire.I had it towed to a Kia dealer and they replaced the engine and the turbo system which had a recall on it in 2016that was for the knock sensorsystem on 2018/
Trying to avoid another vehicle approaching me in a head on collision, my engine began to stall, brakes locked up which caused suspension issues of the vehicle. Due to this, the vehicle was completely totaled and global lending services is consistently reporting it as a repossession. Both vehicles were in motion and it was on a la hwy.
When I reverse my car out of my parking spot it stops like my brakes locks. I have to press the gas a little for it to go. Also my brakes or wheel is making a grinding noise on the passenger side but my brakes looks good
Head lights and brake lights keep shorting out making it hard for you to drive at night or even during the day. The anti lock brake jams and will cause you to slide if you are not carefully in the rain and snow
At about 1500 miles on the car, I have 2200 now, I started to notice a grinding and a rough contact in the brake pedal. When researching this it appears Kia has had aot of issues with the brakes on the stinger since introduction. Will be taking to dealership soon but per the research, Kia does not have fix other than replacing repeatedly.
I've taken my car to get an oil change several times and told them how my brakes make a noise just when I back up and they keep saying my brakes alright but something isn't right to me...
The brake lights would not go off when I turned my car off. This ended up killing my battery. When I got the battery recharged it allowed the car to start without the brakes being pushed in. Also I noticed that the stopper had broken. This allowed the computer to think that the brakes were engaged even though the peddle wasn't pushed.
My daughter was driving down main street when everything shut off, electrical, motor, steering wheel locked up. She coasted to the side of the road, a man pulled over to help her after 20 mins the car was as able to start again. 3rd time this has happened. Very scary.
My brakes and traction lights comes on randomly. It started happening a year ago. It has happened about 5 times since last year. It happens sometimes while I'm driving, it just comes on and sometimes when I get in and start the car they come on.
I have a 2015 Kia Optima with 55K miles on it. Without warning driving to work I slowed down to enter the gate and heard my brakes grind metal on metal. I thought I would hear a squeal when my brake pads started wearing out way before I heard metal on metal. I immediately took my car to a mechanic and he told me that my squeal bars on each brake were bent back to where they did not come in contact with the brake pad. He stated that sometimes a stick or something could get up in the wheel and possibly bend one a little bit but seems unlikely that it would happen on both front brakes. It seems obvious that my car came from the factory that way but I have no proof. Even if I was hard on my brakes and the pads were worn I should have heard the squeal as a warning to replace the pads before I had to replace both of the original front pads and rotors on the same day.
