This vehicle is 5 1/2 years old with 64000 miles. The tailgate shows corrosion. Took it to the dealer and he filed the issue with Lincoln. Their response is that it’s out of warranty. I called Lincoln concierge service and they couldn’t offer any help. The tailgate is aluminum.
How does this happen? This has been reported for Ford Explorers. Looks like Lincoln is just not a quality vehicle. . . But a pricy one. Buyer beware.
