The dealer says that the air conditioner drain hose may be plugged. He's never heard a complaint about a 2010 Mazda3 but listed a number of other models that had similar problems.
The problem is that there is a significant amount of water leaking on the passenger side floor when the AC is on. I removed the mat and the carpet was soaked. Car was smelling musty.
Before this there was a leak on the driver's side floor mat after a big rain. The dealer said that he had never heard of this kind of complaint. Are they related? The AC shouldn't be leaking inside. We just caught it now. How long has it been going on?
The dealer says he will check it out, at a price! This sounds like a manufacturer's problem.
I need some feedback.
Update from Nov 2, 2014: After a windy heavy rain all floors front and back were soaked with water. Still perplexed. Took it to auto body shop and they tested it over and over. Nothing conclusive.
