My mother and I went to my sons house in my mini .When we arrived We could open the door .The lock would not unlock. Mom is 75 yrs old and a problem getting out.If this was emergency it could have been bad. This is a problem that's poorly designed.Never in any case should have happened. Even if something goes bad you should be able to get out of the car.
