Galant V6

This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever owned in my lifetime. Everything about the car is horrible, the interior is deteriorating, power steering is always out, engine vibrates loudly, radio resets itself, headlights work when they feel like it, quality of paint job is horrific, bubbling and rusting, glove box falls out, windows don't open, car does not turn or drive solid, car is all over the road. Mitsibushi, you should be ashamed calling this a car and to the idiot who sold it to me, Karma has already done it's deed for your dishonesty.

Galant ES 2.4L-Liter 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

About 650 miles after my last oil change the engine light turns on when I am slowing down or coming to a stop. Once stopped the light will stay on unless the car is put into neutral and the engine is given some gas. Once the car is moving the light immediately turns off and does not come back on until slowing down or stopped. I put up with the problem for about another 500 miles before getting another oil change. After I got the oil change the problem stopped. The oil light never came on again until I drove about 700 miles (after the oil change). I have replaced the battery, changed the air filter, replaced belts (not really related), had compression checked and nothing seems related. At one point I added fuel injector cleaner and that stopped the problem for about the next 200 miles but the problem has since returned and will not go away. Any suggestions? I have taken it to two different repair shops and the first said dirty air filter (cleaned it and it made no difference) and the second said bad battery (it was messing up the computer) and if it was not that dirty injectors. Neither have seemed to been right. Anyone else having this problem???? HELP!!!!!
