While driving at around 40mph, my 2005 Nissan 350Z (41xxx miles) shut down completely. No power, brakes, steering, anything. I glided to a stop and pulled over as best as I could. Every indicator light came on: Check engine, service soon, tire pressure, etc. I was on a flat, busy city street going straight when this happened. Prior to this, I had no indication of a potential problem. No check engine light, etc. I called aaa and after about 20 minutes, decided to see if it would start so I could move to a safer place. It started right up. I've since been able to start and drive but this was extremely dangerous. Had this happened on the freeway, it could have been a catastrophe for me and the drivers around me. It's a very concerning safety issue. I've read it is ongoing with Nissan the same age as mine. Some were recalled and repaired but I looked up my VIN and it's not covered. Taking it to a dealer tomorrow but appreciate any help reporting and resolving this issue. Thanks.

Owner of Nissan 350Z roadster. Car is in mint condition only has 39,000+ miles and is 10 years old. Never had any problems other than tires, battery, brakes replacement over years. All of a sudden airbag light starting flashing on dash. Took to dealer that did "diagnosis" for $100+ and said module in driver side bag code B1134 needs replacing for $1200. Driver is unemployed at moment and laid-off. Dealership just said "drive safely" when leaving and deciding not to shell out $1200 at moment. Nissan refuses any goodwill to fix car even though this is an airbag related issue and possible safety hazard. Says the car is not under warranty (which is at 36,000 for Nissan) and the car has not had any major problems therefore in 10 years and has been a "good running car." Nissan feels it is driver's responsibility to repair. Other car manufacturers constantly recall airbag devices but not Nissan -- 2007 Nissan roadster 350 has had a recall for an airbag issue. Number for 2007:NHTSA campaign number: 08V521000 and the airbag module part number is 28556cd00. Owner of this vehicle looked up any other owners that may have had problem and this appears to be a common issue with owners of this year and make. See lists and lists of complaints here from other owners ofthis model when will Nissan take responsibility

I had avital 5303L remote starter/security system installed on my car on 2/8/14 by mobile sound and alarm in pennsauken NJ. When I got home I turned off my car and placed the car in 1st gear (manual transmission) and pulled up the brake. I stepped out of the car and shut the door and hit the start button on the new remote control and the car drove up the curb and crash into the wood beam that holds my desk up in my condo complex and crash into the left wall on the patio of the lower unit. I tried to catch up to the car and once I got the driver door and tried to open it the car stopped. When the car stopped my right foot was trapped under the driver side rear wheel. A passing neighbor had to get into the car start it up and put it in reverse to get my foot from underneath the car. I called the police and had a police report created and reported the incident to my insurance. My foot was not injured. On 2/11/13 I took the car to a very large lot and turned the car off and put the car in 1st gear. I started the car again using the remote starter control and car drove away. I hit the remote start control again and the car came to a stop.
