2007 Nissan Armada. Consumer states vehicle broke down due to a factory defect faulty fuel gauge the consumer stated ever since the vehicle broke down, it intermittently emits a tremendous amount of black smoke after starting it. When the consumer returned to pick up the vehicle for a third time, he was informed the engine was damaged to lack of oil changes. The consumer stated he has proof the oil was changed on a regular basis. Also, the tire pressure monitoring light illuminated, but no leaks were found and the battery had to be replaced.

2007 Nissan Armada. Consumer expresses discontent related to vehicle recall the consumer stated it took Nissan 7 months to send a notice stating the parts were available. However, the consumer had already taken the vehicle to the dealer because she was experiencing ongoing problems with the vehicle stalling. The dealer stated only what was listed on the recall would be repaired. The consumer had the vehicle towed to her personal mechanic and upon inspection, it was determined the problem was with the fuel pump.

The contact received a recall notification in March of 2010 associated with the NHTSA campaign id number 10V074000 (fuel system, other: Storage: Fuel gauge system). The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the technician informed that the part was on a massive back oder. The contact was displeased with the uncertainty of the repair part arrival date. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. There was no failure mileage.

The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Armada. While driving approximately 70 mph the vehicle stalled. The vehicle towed to an authorized dealer who stated that vehicle was out of fuel. The contact stated that her vehicle was included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 10V074000; however, the dealer did not have the parts available to perform the remedy. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were unknown. The VIN was unavailable.
