So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While applying brakes coming to a stop sign there was a loud crunching noise. Trying to drive was hardly possible as the car would stop short and cause the noise anytime the brakes were even lightly applied. The red brake warning light came on. I pulled over and after turning the car off and back on the brake light was off and the car drove fine. This happened one more time in December. Searching the internet I found this to be a problem in previous years but not with a 2009. Most complaints pointed to a solenoid in the brake booster and a $800 repair. Repairs often don't last and another $800 is spent a year, or years later. This has been an ongoing problem that Nissan will not address or compensate for. Had this happened to my wife or one of my children I could very well see where it may have caused an accident.
