My car doesn't start due to electronic steering column lock. I have to pay 1000$ to fix it. In the past Nissan have had a lot of problem with this part. Personally, I think it is too much expense and Nissan is irresponsible to its customers knowing that this piece wears prematurely.

Cube ES 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission

The electronic ignition was replaced, under warranty, in Florida where the car was bought. Happened a second time after moving to Georgia, repairs completed on 12/04/15, for $761.10. Originally they wanted to charge me $970.00 On August 13, 2016, car would not start again, same issue as before. Brought it back to the same Nissan dealership and they had the nerve to say they need to charge $125.00 diagnostic fee to see what the actual problem is.

Attempts to speak with the Service Manager went no where, he brushed off to a service writer.

Nissan needs to step up to the plate on this issue and get these vehicle ignitions repaired safely and correctly, before there is a serious accident as a result of this.
