I was travelling on the Florida turnpike near orlando at 70mph when the steering wheel began to shake. I began to slow down, but the shaking became more violent. Suddenly, without warning, there was a terrific bang, the sound of tearing metal and the car began to fishtail. I was able to slow the vehicle and pull on to the shoulder. When I exited the vehicle I saw that the front, left tire had lost its tread. This incident caused $1500+ *akdollars of damage to the vehicle. It cost me $250 deductible and I also had to buy a new set of tires. I have pictures of the damaged tire. I went to a Firestone dealer with the damaged tire and he told me that they wouldn't do anything because the tire had more than 30,000 miles on them. Am I entitled to recover the deductible I paid from Firestone"?"( dot number: Tire size: P215/65R15 )
Vehicle has a very pronounced vibration/shaking at speeds over 60 mph. This is severe enough to question the ability of the vehicle to maintain traction/adhesion in wet/slippery conditions. Dealership has been unable to fix the problem.
Truck has bad shake, I have installed new tires, shocks, center support bearing(no charge), had front alignment, truck still vibrates at 40mph and up. Can see bed shake side to side. Makes the back seat thump. Entire truck shakes at 50-55mph. My 95 Nissan truck did the exact same thing, no cause ever found. I was told that other owners are having same problem.
This is a 4WD extended cab vehicle with a summer tire, and after 3000 miles tread has worn the wheel balance is off. Also, the alignment is off. The dealer has been contacted.
While driving in 4th or 5th gear at 65-70 mph the vehicle vibrates, cause unknown. Dealer rebalanced the tires and adjusted the tire pressure which did not remedy the problem.
