The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that there was a drastic delay upon pressing the accelerator pedal. Three to five seconds later, the vehicle surged forward with a high rate of speed without warning. The contact indicated that the failure was getting progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer more than once and they were not able to diagnose and replicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure several times and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000. Updated 7/9/15
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Frontier. After depressing and releasing the brake pedal in traffic, the vehicle accelerated without warning. The failure recurred ten times. The vehicle was taken to dealer, where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.
I was driving in a parking lot approximately 15 20 miles per hour, I applied the brake to slow down to an appropriate speed in order to go around a corner, the truck then accelerated causing me to jump the curb and hit the mail boxes. The truck accelerated to approx. 30-40 mph.
2013 Nissan Frontier. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle intermittent acceleration problems at low speed. The consumer stated the incident would happen, when merging into traffic. The vehicle would move and then stall.
