What has happened is in my letter that was not sent to Nissan yet but every occurrence is listed and filed with Nissan Consumer Affairs you will see the case numbers. This is also my report to you. If more information is needed I will supply

2016 Nissan Juke sl AWD Aug 2017, I traded-in a 2011 Nissan Juke sl for a new 2016 Juke sl 1. transmission catches: 2016 Juke has a transmission issue which prevents the car from accelerating even when driving on the highway, which results in driver/passengers in car that won't move. You have to come to a complete stop to get the transmission to 'catch'. Nissan was notified four days after the car was purchased. Nissan acknowledged being able to duplicate issue over voicemail but then claimed they couldn't after requesting the car be bought back. 2. exhaust inside car: Exhaust fumes permeate inside the car whenever the ac/heat/defrost are on making it impossible to be in the car without the windows down no matter how hot or cold it is outside. The smell is so overwhelming that is causes nausea, sleepiness and headache. Nissan's response, "you will smell some antifreeze/exhaust when you're in the car". 3. electrical issue: The navigation/stereo/console randomly shuts off - while driving - which has also caused the volume knob to be inoperable. I emailed andrew tavi, todd woods and mark swenson requesting they intervene to buy the car back, but they have turned the matter back over to Nissan customer care who I reported the issue to last fall (2017); this is the same Nissan customer care who didn't ask to listen to the voicemail from the dealership acknowledging being able to duplicate the issue with the transmission or the multiple video's I made showing the issue with the transmission. If you google, "Juke revving no acceleration" you will find multiple posts and videos from people in the us and europe who are having the same issue with their Nissan's and aside from the transmission issue itself the secondary common factor is that they all, like my Juke, report that their car does not 'throw a code". *please* investigate for safety.

The Juke has had intermittent stalling and no start issues. The car has stalled while in motion as well as parked at idle. Once it stalls, it will not immediately start again. The dealer has been unable to determine the cause, despite having to pay for towing several times. The local abc affiliate has done at least two reports of other Nissan owner experiencing the same problem eluding to a heat related issue. If that is true, the temperature is cooling off here in the desert I'm afraid I will not see this problem until spring and the warranty expires. Nissan has refused to repurchase the car to this point. Without my agreement, they have opened an arbitration case offering me $1500 "for my inconvenience". the car has lost more in trade-in value than what they've offered..going through minimal carfax reports on Jukes, I've found a high percentage of Jukes with similar problems...

Transmission failure 2016 Nissan Juke sl AWD which began day after I bought it. I described this to dealer as "car revs but no acceleration. Initially it would happen after driving on highway for about 1-1.5 hours. Now it begins within the 10 miles it takes to drive to pick up rental car. Three times thus far I have been nearly rear ended, once by a tractor trailer whose wheels I can still hear screeching because the car wouldn't accelerate coming off an exit. The only solution is to stop the car in its 'tracks' to try to get the transmission to catch. I told Nissan dealership where I purchased the car that car isn't safe to drive as well as Nissan. Neither will even acknowledge the issue exists including refusing to view videos I took to demonstrate the issue. I took the car to 3 different Nissan dealerships. One in NY said the issue was being caused by an access, a quart plus overfull, of transmission fluid. The said it would self adjust after 2000-3000 miles. First 300 miles from NY to DC car drove normally. On return trip, same issue, within 1-1.5 hrs transmission started to hesitate, car wouldn't accelerate. Car also has electrical issues which cause console to randomly reset itself. And a nauseating smell that pervades the car which initially was noticed when I turned the heat/defrost on but now sitting here writing this, I can smell the order in my hair; I think it's some sort of exhaust smell. Nissan response to the smell which I initially thought was maybe antifreeze was that "you will smell some antifreeze. You're just sensitive smells". I have no documents to upload other than service records which shows no repairs performed. I literally just texted a friend to borrow money to buy a used a car because the more I drive the car the worse it gets and I fear an accident will ensue causing harm to myself or someone else.
