We helped our daughter buy this vehicle for college and work use. She said the emergency braking light was coming on a few days ago. Then just yesterday (9/26/2021) the said the car actually braked on its own while she was driving. She said there was no other car or anything in front of her to cause the her vehicle to suddenly brake. This is a serious issue. So I started looking into the issue and learned that Nissan and the Center of Automotive Safety are aware of a number of these report regarding their faulty Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system but have yet to issue a recall on their vehicles. There are also a number of law suits pending.
Do anyone have any advice as to how to handle this issue? This definitely a safety issue and do not feel comfortable with my daughter driving it.
