Whe the brake is depessed it signals a solenoid in the shift linkage that enables the shift lever to be moved from PARK to another gear. Costs $700 to have the entire mechanism replaced. Solenoid cannot be replaced itself. Brake switch is good. No "coffee" spills on the center console/shift linkage. Not covered under power train warranty. Other owners have same problem. Manufacturing defect?
