I drove from Lowell to Wareham - 495 S all the way, about 2 hrs. After about an hour the engine started to whine. I thought it was because I was running the AC, so I turned it off - no change to the whine sound. I pulled off the exit for Wareham and stopped at a light. When the light turned green, I stepped on the gas and nothing happened - nothing at all! The engine didn't rev, it wasn't stalled, nothing. The people behind me were honking and there was nothing I could do. It eventually, very slowly, started to move forward and then slowly picked up speed. It happened again at the next light. I finally made it to my destination and didn't start the car until the next day. I took it to a local garage where they VERY kindly plugged it in (for free) and gave me the code: P0725 Engine Speed Signal. On July 3 I drove from Wareham to Portland, ME and only noticed a lack of acceleration during that trip and since.
