Shortly after I leased the 2012 Rogue I noticed an intermittent acceleration problem. It started when I backed out into a street and needed to accelerate quickly. Stepped on the gas- nothing. Reprorted this to the dealer and they said my car was normal. Next this started to happen when I pulled into traffic, especially if I was rolling, like turning through a light. Recently after about a 15 minute sustained run it did it at a stop light straight on.
The car does not "miss" or stall, just nothing happens. Took it to the dealer and of course they could not replicate it. They said there were no computer codes or repair bulletins. I guess I'm the only one with this problem.
In the old days I would have guessed a weak fuel pump or blocked fuel filter. I'm afraid that I'll stall someday and get nailed by another driver. At this point I want to dump the car and move on but I'll take such a beating that I have to think twice about it. Anyone have a similar problem or an answer?
