So, Nissan helped with the transmission, but the dealership didn’t fix the transaxle, which my mechanic said needed replacement as well, so it just cost me $1500 more. Don’t buy Nissan!!! Why do they still use this flawed transmission???

Rogue Datsun 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,301 miles

Had my 2012 Nissan Rogue taken to Sears Auto Center for oil change, spark plug replacement and tire rotation. After picking up my vehicle and drive for about 3 miles I noticed that is sounded differently and drove differently. My car was in worst shape after leaving SAC. I immediately contact Sears and took car back next day. Once I got home I made sure not to drive until the next day.

As I drove to sears for inspection, the noise was worst and start to shake more than the day before. Sear inspected the vehicle but had no answers, they suggested to take my vehicle to Dealer. I went to Nissan immediately after leaving SAC. This was around 315pm. Spoke to a service employee and explained the situation,he said," there is nothing we can until Monday.' I had him note my mileage at the time, this was proof of my car usage. The employee also noticed my check engine light was not on.

Went home feeling unsatisfied, my wife and I called Nissan to get a better understanding of how they could diagnose this issue to find the problem. Then gentleman gave me a few options one in which was to make an appointment for Monday.

Finally Monday arrives, and I begin to make my way to the shop. After pulling out of drive way we heard a loud explosion from under the car. The car is now leaking oil and we take it to Nissan for the Diagnostic. We are under 60,000 miles and Nissan of Bakersfield manager is saying this is not covered under warranty. Estimated damage of 2,400 dollars. They call it a rear differential blow out. How is this not covered under Power Train Warranty? No know how this could happen.

Rogue S 2.5L V4

  • CVT transmission
  • 10 miles

Nissan Rogue has terrible grumbling sounds and vibrations. Dealer says this is normal for the Nissan CVT transmission. This can not be adjusted in any way. I hate driving this car, it makes for a terrible driving experience. It is to soon to traded in for something better, without taking a large financial loss. Please anyone reading this stay clear away from the Rogue and get something else.
