I have a 2016 Rogue, car has 22810 miles on it The AC stopped working back in April, I have since had it into the dealer (same I bought from) They have completed a full AC recharge, which did not fix the problem, then they have replaced the mode door, which did not fix and then finally a leaking hose, which has not fixed the problem. I have incurred over $1400 thus far and still the dealer cannot fix the problem and the AC still does not work. This issue appears to be a known issue and I have found many reports of the same issues in Nissan Rogue, which happens after the warranty expire, and owners are paying extreme amounts in repair bills to not be able to fix the problem. Nissan must be aware of the problem, and know the cause, which if this information was provided to the owners and dealers and offered through a recall would be the right thing to do.

Engine unexpectedly stalls/stops under power. Along with power steering and brakes. Engine sensors were replaced by dealership. Condition persists and confirmed by dealership. Dealership maintains this is an engine wiring harness issue that shorts out under certain conditions. While engine was operating, dealership was able to cause engine to stop. Cautioned me to get wiring harness replaced, as it could present a safety issue or accident. Check engine lie went on as did the traction control light in each case after they were reset. I am taking vehicle to another service center to evaluate. Estimate was $3,402 to replace engine harness, plus it was $750 to replace sensors, Vehicle has 55,000 miles on it.

My 2016 Nissan Rogue has about 58426 miles on it. At first I noticed that it was very slowly reaching the desired speed, when press on gas pedal. I was thinking it just because the ECO mode is On. Then I turn it OFF but it still slowly reaches desired speed. On July 9, 2021 about 4 months after noticing the problems with acceleration, I was driving and car just starts making jerking, stalling movements while driving and the RPM's was jumping up and down especially when you start driving and reaching the speed limit of about 45mph. I took it for another test drive and it was jerking, shaking and stalling a lot and making very loud noise. Feel like the car will stop suddenly at the middle of the road causing hazard for other drivers and involve in the accident. Check Engine light came ON. Very slowly came home and then ask independent mechanic to check the car. The Code reads P0841 and P0776. Tried to erase the codes but check engine light was still on. Changing the transmission oil, filter and gasket didn't resolve the problem, the Check Engine light is OFF though, for now, but the car still jerks. Slowly pressing the gas pedal and the RPM"s jumps to 3 then back to normal and car stalls and jerks. You can hear that it starts from the front bottom of the car and goes back through the whole car. Very scared to drive the car. I thought that Nissan is very reliable car, but not thinking that anymore. I also found that there are lot more complains about the transmission and even the law suits started in 2013 and 2021 and that Nissan knows about the problem with CVT transmission since 2013 but not doing anything about it. Very disappointed!

I was just stopped at a red light. While sitting still waiting for the light, my car began to buck. And then the engine light came on. My car only has 68,000 miles on it. I have it serviced regularly. I took it directly to my mechanic and he thinks it's some kind of sensor problem. He reset the sensors and told me if it came back again to come back. Today I started my car to drive to the grocery and again I come to the. The corner and the bucking starts. I want ride home. I will be taking my car to the mechanic tomorrow. Also I just want to say your site says my car has five recalls. And it says that none of the recalls is needed at this time. I've never gotten a recall notice from Nissan for my vehicle. So I don't know if they're reporting that they're doing these recalls on my car and they really aren't or what the problem is. Maybe someone there can help me with that too. Thank you

The electrical and body modules malfunction, the engine wouldn't shut off, tried to disconnect battery and it didn't work, finally after pulling the fuse for the fuel it shut off, but couldn't start the engine back on. Had to be tow to the garage and I was told the warranty only cover one of the two modules that were bad. The total bill $1200.

I purchase a 2016 Nissan Rogue on July 27,2019. On August 20 I took car back to dealership and stated that the car have vibration, click sound, the hood was like it was going pop up if I went more than 65mph and was like you had give a lot gas for it to go. The say they check out and nothing was wrong. One day I was driving down and had to push petal all way down and the car was still only going about 20 mph but the RPM was at like 5. was sacred feeling took car back to dealership and they say nothing was wrong. Then on Jan 1,2020 coming down 95 southbound and my whole dash bored lights came on. I believe it was every single warning light came on. Was told that my ABS was bad and it was going cost around 3800 to be replaced. My car stayed at Nissan dealership for over 2 months. Once I receive my car back still complain about the vibration and hood. Again was told since it's no check engine light there's no problem. On July 17 my check engine came on and my RPM was going up to like 5. drop my car to Nissan to have light check out was told that there's wasn't a light on once they pull my car in shop. Again no answer. On August 8 my car was like I had push pedal all way and it was going like 25 mph and RPM was at 4 but the check engine light and airbag light came on. Took my car back to dealership and was told that it was my transmission. Now that my warranty has expired just the end of July 2020 I can receive a diagnostic if problem. But I have been experiencing this things the whole year I have had the vehicle. I see that there are know problem with these transmissions in Rogue. I see where the warranty has been extended for cvt transmission so why that doesn't apply to my vehicle?

2016 Nissan Rogue car just stops dead on a busy interstate, and you call Nissan corporate and they act like they are ' completely unaware of all of the mechanical issues and dangers of this car. The vehicle was in motion on a busy interstate with children and a small dog in the car and it completely sh*ts down. No air conditioner, then you get a warning about the key fob being ' undeteteced'. you take it to Nissan and they refuse to acknowledge anything, they just start telling you you need breaks, and tires. But the real danger is that someone could get killed in this car !

II purchased a 2016 Nissan rouge on July 9, 2019. From day one I've had issues with the air conditioning unit blowing out hot. When it's 85 degrees outside, the inside of my rouge is as high as 91 degree. There's been no relief after the dealership made several repairs. This seems to be a defect and I think Nissan needs to fix the problem.

My fiances check engine light came on in her 2016 Nissan Rogue. I wanted to see what problems would present themselves. Upon taking it for a test drive right away after starting the vehicle I noticed the engine was shaking and could be felt throughout the whole cabin of the vehicle, similar to a complaint filed I saw on the website (NHTSA id number: 11266446). I also noticed that strong fumes were coming into the cabin of vehicle as well. Driving the vehicle around a few blocks I noticed it was having a hard time accelerating and felt like it had a misfire to it as well. I got a diagnostic test done on the Rogue and I was told it was the intake manifold and that it was a common problem in the Nissan Rogue, both by christian brothers automotive and by the parts department at the Nissan dealership. The part itself would cost over 400 dollars from the dealership if I was to replace it myself and over 1200 dollars parts and labor if I let christian brothers automotive do the work. I was also told that the replacement intake manifold was a newer updated model which is another big reason for this complaint because clearly they know this is a problem and they want the customers to pick up the bill instead of them owning up to their faulty technology and replacing it themselves.

After about 60K miles, I noticed my 2016 Nissan Rogue started to become sluggish. It was unable to accelerate quickly. I had to rev it up to at least 4 or 5 RPM to get it to even take off. There was a delay in response to me pushing the gas pedal. The engine started to shudder and shake more than before. I felt like I had to floor it to even go 30. This was very scary when pulling in front of traffic that was already going 60 on the highway. I was unable to accelerate quickly enough to keep up with the flow of traffic. At 70K, it experienced several episodes of complete failure. I'll describe one of my experiences as best as possible. After driving the Rogue for about an hour in stop and go rush hour traffic, I decided to stop at starbucks to calm my nerves. I waited in the drive through for about 15 minutes. When pulling out onto the highway, my vehicle would not go above 15mph. I was flooring it, trying to get out of the way of traffic, but the vehicle simply would not accelerate. I pulled into the center lane, and turned my car completely off. I set for about 5 minutes. Then I started the engine back up. It ran fine after that. However, this is a problem that continues to occur. I was fortunate to have a place to pull over, but what if I'm not so lucky next time" what would happen if I tried to cross a busy street and my vehicle just stopped" I don't feel safe driving this vehicle, especially with my kids inside! I took it to the dealership several times. They found nothing wrong and no recalls, but did do a transmission software update. That did not help. This problem needs to be fixed before someone gets seriously injured!!!!

I purchased a 2016 Rogue sv (VIN [xxx], I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle since I brought it home. I had the head unit replace no less than 4 separate times because it would stop working and go black. The car had less than 10,000 miles on it. I was told it was being replaced with a "brand new unit". the dealership forgot to transfer my xm subscription to the new unit, so when I called to activate I find out not only is it not new, its 4 years older than the car I own. While replacing this the technicians destroyed the surrounding trim. Last June my car started stalling out, this happened on multiple occasions. The engine died but the electrical components stayed on. It has died at gas stations, stop lights and pulling onto a roadway. It continues to shudders at stop lights. Nissan was unable to replicate the events so I was told to take it home. Last week my Rogue began to push 6000 rpms while on the highway, pedal to the floor and I never made it above 45mph. During this event the car wouldn't go below 4000rpms, this event lasted about 30mins. This happened multiple times and we have video of the events, about 15 minutes worth. I was told this week that the dealership had sent the issues to Nissan, and that with the video/the complaints that Nissan would replace and fix what they believed to be the problem, something with the transmission. The dealership then called my husband and told him that we could pick up the vehicle and take it home. They told him that "Nissan created a technology" that is now installed in the vehicle so the next time an event happens it will record it, to continue driving it for a 1,000 miles. I feel unsafe in this vehicle. I do not trust this vehicle to deliver my daughter and I safely and reliably to our destination. I will be happy to share the video as well information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
