Took my 2016 Nissan Rouge in for it's required service, oil change. I was getting between 31 mpg-33 mpg before this service which made me very happy !!! Right after this service my mpg went down to 23 mpg-27 mpg making me very un-happy. They also change my air filter.... show me this very dirty air filter with all kinds of leaves and stuff in it, of course I told them to replace it. but deep down inside I really thought they were pulling a play on me, but then again the air filter had not been changed before... I don't drive a lot with this vehicle, bought it new in August 2016. so that's only about 7,000 miles a year. When I noticed my mpg was not as good as before I even switched on my ECO and it was still just the same poor mpg. What's up with this poor MPG?

I bought it with only 20 miles on it and now it has 24000 miles on it. The problem is that they sold me this car saying that is a great gas miles car and all the ads say the same. The reality is that this car always gives me 22 miles per gallon when it should be around 26 or 28 and even is worse when I use the A/C or Heater. I have been trying different things to get good gas but nothing works. The worst thing is that my sister has a 16 Camaro v6 and gets better economy. I hate how they lied me about this car. If I could I would change, but I don't have the money for it.

Update from Dec 12, 2020: An Update, this car is getting worse now was 48k miles and is giving me verily 315 per tank (13 gallons) means 24mpg that's freeway on city 260 and all this on ECO MODE without that mode is even worse. it is so off on what the advertisers say plus engine is weak. This car is guzzled

Rogue SV 2.5L 4 cyl

Vehicle is rated at 25MPG city to 32 Highway. It’s what the window says and its what the Nissan Rogue commercials say as selling point. I purchased the Rogue new and my average MPG is 22.7. That’s well below the 28 MPG used to sell the Rogue. I have had it to the dealership 3 times and they say everything is doing what it’s supposed to be doing. My question is then why is the MPG so bad. They don’t know. The last time in they changed the oil and put in 0 W20 motor oil. This did bring my MPG up a little but still well under 25MPG. If I knew the MPG was going to be this bad I wouldn’t have even considered the Rogue when purchasing the vehicle. From what I have been reading, I’m not the only one having this issue. I keep checking for a class action lawsuit like what happened with the Hyundai, but so far I have seen nothing. I keep telling Nissan there has to be something wrong with my Rogue if it is supposed to get around 28MPG and they say they can't find anything. Lemon law attorneys say MPG isn’t a lemon law problem and I told them the MPG is a result of a problem that they cant find or fix. Don’t know where to turn next. Frustrated.

My brand new Nissan rogue 2016 is a disaster. I am getting ten miles per gallon on city streets. The best mileage I get is on freeways, at 19 mpg. Average mixed driving mpg is 14.5. The car is a gas guzzler I am constantly needing to refuel. I called Nissan but they keep sending me back to the service department, inconveniently located an hour away, but the service people just tell me there's no check engine light on so there's nothing to fix. Nissan is telling me the advertised mpg of 25 is an estimate only so if I'm getting ten miles per gallon they are not responsible. Nissan has been condescending and rude. I finally told them I will pursue my rights under the lemon law. I really didn't need this kind of stress when I bought a $35.000 brand new car. Every time I look at my dash board I am furious about the fuel economy and the fact that I am low on gas after driving a relatively short distance. This will be my last Nissan!!

Fuel Economy is listed as 25 city 32 highway with 28 average. 1700 miles later I am getting 24.4 MPG. I am 75 years old and jackrabbit starts and speeding are long in the past. I drive to get as good gas mileage as possible.
