I have been loyal to Nissan for close to 20 years. Had 2 Pathfinders (one brand new and one pre-owned) and loved them, never had issues of any kind nor complaints. This year I decided to go for a pre-owned Rogue 2017.

When I bought it, it was perfect. Five months later, the chipping on the roof has started to rust and the bumper has hundreds of rock chips! When examined closely it can be seen that the layer of paint is extremely thin and either of poor quality or very cheap. I complained to Nissan Canada Consumer Affairs and they refused to acknowledge that it is a QC problem. They also said that the warranty is expired so there is nothing they will or can do. So, I am left hanging to pay possibly more than $5000 for a full body paint job!

I would not recommend Nissan at all and most certainly sell this vehicle and never buy Nissan again! So if anybody out there has had a similar problem, I'd like to hear what has been done.

I will pursue this issue further until Nissan takes action. It is NOT acceptable that consumers pay higher prices for poor quality products! I am so outraged!

The Glacier White paint on my 2017 Star Wars Limited Edition Nissan Rogue has been chipping off like crazy. The hood is the worst from the front to near the windshield. I park inside my home garage. The last two vehicles I owned for 16 years and NEVER had chips of paint missing from the vehicle. ( a Ford and a Dodge) . I cannot imagine what this vehicle would look like in 16 years, let alone two years.

I did contact the dealership and they told me the factory painted it too thin and to contact NISSAN. They also sent me a text message stating this, which I emailed to myself.

I contacted Nissan today @ 800-647-7261, they documented everything and gave me a case number. I was told that someone would review and contact me tomorrow . He did ask what I wanted to be done to fix the issue and I said a NEW PAINT JOB as it should have been when I purchased this brand new OR a new vehicle. I told them that a "touch up " is unacceptable.
