On March 31, 2020, while slowing for a traffic light, my vehicle (2018 Nissan Rogue) began to shake violently and as I came to a complete stop, the engine shut off. Upon taking the vehicle to a local Nissan dealership, I was informed that the engine wiring harness would need to be replaced. I was quoted a price of MORE THAN $2,000 FOR A 2-YEAR OLD VEHICLE!!! This is a problem, in and of itself, because this component can typically last for the lifetime of a vehicle except in cases for which there is extensive damage to the vehicle such as an accident or flood, neither of which have been the case. Furthermore, there is no visible trauma to the wiring harness. Multiple external service technicians have agreed that this type of mechanical failure should not be occurring in a newer model vehicle with less than 50,000 miles. It is my firm belief that the mechanical failure of a component which rarely fails point to poor quality of craftsmanship and should be investigated as a potential recall issue as it poses a safety issue and the occurrence of such an issue at this stage of a vehicle's life is highly unlikely. When I mentioned this to Nissan USA, all they had was, "I'm so sorry." Sorry is definitely correct because to have such an expensive failure in product so early on in the vehicle's life is asinine.

This is the second time in a couple of months while driving 35+mph that my car has literally just stopped in the middle of the road today. This almost caused a fatal wreck coming off of an exit from a bridge. Traffic behind me and around me almost wrecked into other vehicles due to this happening a 2nd time! Called dealership told them not to rush fixing it bcz it's Friday or to finally give me a new fkn car bcz in this year and a couple months that I've had it brand new I've almost been in 2 accidents due to this. I put down $8,000 cash and traded in a previous vehicle to finally purchase my first brand new car that I still pay almost $400 monthly for a pos lemon, and the dealership gives me a temp rental. I'm scared to drive this vehicle and I loved it & now I feel like it's going to be a death trap!
